Lyn the owner of Amethyst Complementary Therapy will be working with us to provide our guests with a Personal service.

All ages are catered for, all manner of ailments can be helped through a variety of  individual/combined  therapies and treatments

Following a full (free) confidential consultation, a treatment plan is discussed with the client and  developed further. Some ailments may respond quickly following one treatment whereas, for others, a course of treatment may be advised.

 All treatments can also be used as a 'one off' way to pamper, relax and reward oneself.

Having been a  qualified nurse, midwife and educator for over twenty years and still practising midwifery; Lyn is a highly experienced, confident practitioner with clients across Dorset and the rest of the UK, many travelling long distances to benefit from her treatments and care.

 

Full Body Massage (also known as Swedish Massage)

 

This truly holistic experience focusing on relaxing the muscles and calming the emotions. Using rapeseed or sweet almond oil the aim is to improve circulation, recharge the body's immune system and balance the life force. A really relaxing treatment £30 (Allow 1 hour)

 Hot Stone Massage

Based on Ancient Native American healing rituals this truly unique massage uses the healing energy of warm volcanic smoothed stones and cool marble stones, to ground, balance and vitalize the entire body, mind and spirit. 

The special stones are placed along the spine, and on the individual chakra energy centres, while the body is then massaged with the warm stones using Aromatherapy oils.  One massage stroke with the stones is the equivalent to ten with just the hands making this an extremely stimulating treatment with long lasting effects. £35 (Allow 1 hour)

Aromatherapy

Unique prescription of essential oils dispensed for each client based on consultation. Three area of the body are then targeted for massage treatment £35 (Allow 1 hour)

Reflexology

Reflexology is an ancient therapy used for thousands of years by the Egyptians, Native Americans, Chinese and Japanese. It works on the principle that the feet are a reflection of the body, and that the whole of the body's systems are mapped out on the feet.  

By applying pressure to the corresponding zones on the feet you are able to stimulate different organs and systems and therefore restore the body's vital energy, which will then encourage improvement in ailments and self-healing. £25 (Allow 45 mins)

Indian Head Massage

Release trapped tension and head energy with this wonderful healing therapy. Fantastic for headaches, neck & shoulder tension, insomnia and stress.
The treatment includes back, neck & shoulders, arms, and head. £25 (Allow 45 mins)

 

Pregnancy Massage

Utilizing the ‘bump bag’ designed to let you lay on your abdomen during pregnancy and experiencing a relaxing massage. Totally safe during all stages of pregnancy.

 

Holistic facial

Cocooned in warmth as you de- stress your skin with oriental pressure point facial massage, and organic essential oils, watch as your tension melts away with the addition of a scalp and foot massage to complete this truly beautiful holistic experience. £30 (Allow 1 hour) FROM 1st JULY

 

Manicure
